San Clamente State Beach Jan. 2019
We went to this location for our latest camping trip on MLK weekend. We had an amazing time at this outstanding camping site right next to the glorious beach. We can go out and hang out in the sun whenever we wanted because it was so close by.
Joshua Tree Nov. 2017
For our first camping trip, our members went back to Joshua Tree. While there, they went rock climbing and even found a small spring to have fun. It was also a way for the members to get to know each other better, as they might not volunteer after school on the same day. Most of them have used this way to make new friends and become closer as club. The members also hung a giant American Flag to show their love for their country. Though some of the advisors were unable to make it, they were there in spirit.

Club Rush
Club Rush is a day during the first or second month of school where clubs gather and encourage people to join. W.A.C had four officers interact with other students and inform them about our club. We did get many names, as many people were interested, however, our president, Nadyah Shah, made the most impact. The students could hear the passion in her voice as she described the events we have and how we help the environment. With her help, we were able to make many new recruits for our club.
Earth Day
For Earth Day this year, the President Elect and Secretary Elect is going from classroom to classroom sixth period to spread the word about bees. The bee population is being threatened, so we decided to spread the word to other students to become more aware about what's happening around them. Our President Elect does so by informing the audience by how bees are contributing to the economy and and how they help our agriculture. She also uses current problems to help the students realize what is happening to the bees, as well as suggestions as to how to stop threatening the bee population. While doing so, our Secretary Elect, Chrissty, records her as she presents to the information to the classes.
Joshua Tree Trip
This trip took place during the Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend, which was a three-day weekend. It happened at Joshua Tree, where we spent the first night sleeping outside in tents to enjoy the night sky. Although the nights and mornings were cold, the days were warm, making the hikes enjoyable. We were able to rock climb and see many different types of plants, some of which, seemed like it defied nature. The sight seems to be similar to a a desert, which was different at first, but we soon adjusted and were able to have fun.
